Chick vs Dick 'The Modelling Challenge' Part 3 - the body pose

this one took me about 30 shots before i got too tired and gave up, thus selecting this photo as the best of the lot. another tough shot trying to achieve by 'self-timer' mode because i had to get in position, adjust my hair and try to have a decent facial expression all in 10SECONDS !

think the flooring doesn't do justice to the body contortion. it looks easier than it seems. didn't expect the strain on my neck to have that much effect but i'm actually feeling sore in the section where my neck meets the spine. totally forgot about it the whole day i was out shopping, then suddenly felt the effects in the evening thinking it was due to my bag. but i finally figured out that the sore feeling was actually from the pressure exertion for this picture. ah the sacrifices for creative expression.

 The next challenge presented is to do a hair flick shot

took me like 70 tries to get my desired shot so it's impressive that they look quite good during the challenge. to add to the difficulty, i was taking the photos myself so lighting, angle of camera and direction my face is pointing matters. here is the outcome : 

although it took awhile to figure out how to angle my face toward the camera and my neck was really tired from all that swinging around, i'm quite pleased with this shot. looks like a giant fan blowing my hair or i just caught a grenade and it exploded in my face haha (refer to Bruno Mars song 'Grenade')

Chick vs Dick 'The Modelling Challenge' Part 1 - facial expressions

was watching 'Chick versus Dick' and in one episode KayKay and Paul take 'The Modelling Challenge' where Rebecca Tan gives them tips on being a good model such as emoting with your eyes, not your entire face. They then compete in a series of challenges to see who is a better model. Not Easy.

So here i attempt to copy their challenges over the next 3 days.
Starting with the first challenge: Facial expressions
in my opinion, the photos are funny and i really can't take any better yet. so i present to you these 5 expressions rather sheepishly.
No wonder they call it a challenge. because it is CHALLENGING

ANGER

these are hilarious photos (i just laugh when i look at myself) and i really wonder if i do look like this when i'm trying to convey my emotions subtlely
