Chasing Dreams

I had a thought: " i've graduated for 5 years and i still don't have an idea about what to do"

sometimes the scariest thing to me is admitting stuff to people. And yet, the strange thing is that once it gets said, it doesn't become such a big deal anymore, and then i notice that things in my life start to shift.

eg: I spend more money than I earn
what with facial, expensive derm products, manicures, IPL, shopping... I felt like I was going nowhere in life, and nowhere in growing my bank account. and the guilt/ shame about this was eating me on the inside. But once i said it out to someone, and i let it go about how bad i felt... i think things are starting to change and feel different.

Like how I feel more strongly about the things that aren't working in my life. That aren't serving me in the way i had hoped. And that now i am opening myself up to letting them go.

That i can dress how i want, be who i want, be answerable to only me, say what i want to whom i want when i want to. To stop feeling forced, terrorized or abused in any way. I did it for long enough and it's all in the past. Now is now and i can make a new decision of how i want to live now.

To end off.. Here's a li
Live life your way. Furiously.

Thanks for shaping me into who i am. I wouldn't be here, emotionally challenged and then grown, without you and all you bring with you. May you continue to shape the people who come into your contact.

Vday week Day 3

I don't think Valentines should be just one day. St Valentines shouldn't be so lazy. It should last an entire week. Then everyone could pick a day in the week they are free to celebrate. Why stress yourself to finish work early on that particular day in order to make it in time for reservations. Maybe Wednesdays suit you better. Who's to tell you when you can or cannot celebrate your love for each other.

I never understood why a guy would ask a girl out on Valentines Day. It's like you're creating some sort of expectation that things between the 2 would move to the next level. Its too complicated. But relationships are complicated anyway.

You never know what a guy is thinking, and whether he means what he says. I admit I'm guilty of slipping in a lie or two just to make the situation less uncomfortable. Like maybe I'm alone with a guy in his house and he asks me an awkward question while waiting for our friends to arrive. I'm gonna answer him something he wants to hear but isn't totally the truth. I don't want the rest of the time to be weird.

My advice: Don't play games with our minds boys. Tell us how you really feel. If you like me, but aren't ready, just let me know. It might hurt the ego a bit, but at least I'll be aware to keep my eyes open for other options and not be waiting around for a guy who just isn't that into me. Thanks. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather you be blunt and say it straight. I don't like games and I don't like guessing. Games get boring after awhile.

Vday week Day 2

bought a new clothes rack yesterday for my room! so excited cos i hope it will make my room neater and keep random clothes from piling on my bed when i don't bother to hang them back up again. haha
Hanging lots of peach colored items on it now to try and attract some tao hua yun (peach blossom luck)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE !!

had another uninspiring valentines day. Vday is totally overrated. maybe i'm just not a believer because i haven't had like a really romantic Vday date. mostly i've spent them alone/ at home/ with my family/ studying for exams

but nonetheless, its a time when
-girls wait for guys to ask them out
-girls feel super excited getting ready for their date (new outfit, nice hair, makeup)
-girls go gaga when guys give them presents (chocolates, stuffed toys, flowers)

-boys feel stressed that they have to ask the girl they like out
-boys fret over what to buy, where to go, what to do
-boys pockets get burnt trying to impress the girl

i'm not anti-valentines day. I just don't think it should be any particular day of the year. It's too stressful for both parties. It just gives businesses a really good excuse to jack up the prices of everything like flowers and food.  Seriously.

Take my advice: Valentines Day doesn't have to be the one time of the year when you die if you don't have a date. Ask that girl you like out any other time of the year. Give your significant other a meaningful present just because you feel like it. Buy flowers when it's on offer. Go on a romantic date anytime. Don't wait for the one day of the year to make a move.

I'm a hopeless romantic but I would appreciate a guy who will bring me out on any day and make it feel like its Valentines Day. I just want to be unique. I don't follow the flow of what everyone else is doing.

Be random: Clap if you feel loved !
